About

I was born on April 29th, 1988, and grew up in Araraquara, Brazil. I earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from University of São Paulo (2009), and I hold a doctoral degree in Science (Physical Chemistry) from the same University (2014). During 2008-2009 and 2012-2013, as part of my graduation and PhD, respectively, I developed research projects at NOVA University Lisbon (Lisbon, Portugal) and at the Åbo Akademi University (Laboratory of Fiber and Cellulose Technology) in Tuku, Finland. From 2016 to 2022, I accepted an offer to work as a Full Professor and Researcher at Universidade Brasil (UB) in São Paulo, where I coordinated the Laboratory of Nanosciences - responsible for research and for the supervision and teaching of students at the undergraduate, master, and PhD levels. During this period, I also served as a Guest Researcher at Stockholm University (SU) from 2020 to 2022. In October 2022, I accepted an offer to work in Germany. Currently, I am a Senior Researcher at Bergische Universität Wuppertal (BUW) in Wuppertal. My main tasks at BUW involve the development of joint and independent research projects; supervision and/or co-supervision of students at the bachelor's, master’s, and doctoral levels; teaching at master's and doctoral levels; joint development of a Graduate course in Sustainable Chemistry, which was successfully carried out and will be implemented at BUW from 2024.
